About District 5

Austin ISD District 5 includes thirteen schools in Central, West Central, South Central and near Southwest Austin. In the 2023-2024 school year, these schools served 9938 students.

• Becker Elementary

• Bryker Woods Elementary

District 5 also includes Pease Elementary, which was the oldest operating public elementary school in the state until it closed at the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Pease will reopen in the fall of 2024 as a year-round early childhood education center, operated through a partnership with United Way of Greater Austin.
